What is the difference between liposuction and liposculpture?

They actually correspond to the same procedure, but the word Liposculpture is more descriptive. This is not a surgery to eliminate obesity. The patient should not expect a massive lost of weight. Liposculpture is not a method to loose weight, however there's always some. What the patient should expect is a size and measurements reduction, from 2 to 4 sizes depending on the patient. The fat taken off can not exceed 6 liters, but again, the quantity depends also on the patient. Liposculptures that exceed that fat extracted will need blood transfusions from the patient (auto transfusion).

For how long do I need to use the strip?

The use of the strip in the post surgical is very important to achieve the best results. Right after the surgery, the strip helps reducing the blood and the initial swelling process. Later it helps the skin to retract and helps it molding to the body and the new figure from the surgery. The strip must be used from2 to 3 months after the surgery, this is the time the tissues take to come to it's original place after the surgery and swelling process.

If I get pregnant do I loose the surgery?

That depends on on the weight you gain on the pregnancy. If your weight does nor exceed the normally recommended by the obstetrician it's not over 15 kg, the shape of your body will be practically the same you had after the surgery. However, there's always a chance of getting fat deposits that could eventually be eliminated with exercise or a new liposculpture.
